Why walking with a calm pack works
Just as we learn from the people around us, dogs take their cues from other dogs. A calm, balanced pack is one of the most powerful tools there is for helping a nervous, anxious or aggressive dog.
On a social walk your dog spends time around dogs of different sizes and breeds, in a controlled way, while you practise what you learnt in training — so the new behaviour sticks in real situations.
“My dog could never do that”
Please don’t let that fear stop you calling. Plenty of dogs who couldn’t be near another dog have learnt to walk calmly alongside Jo’s pack. Jo controls every introduction and only moves at the pace your dog can handle.
Who social walks are for
- Dogs that have already started training with Jo
- Reactive dogs that need calm, controlled practice
- Nervous dogs and rescues building confidence
- Dogs that were never properly socialised as puppies
What owners say
“What a difference the first lesson made. He was pulling away from other dogs, very nervous — by the end he was lying calmly two feet from Jo’s dogs. We travelled down from Fraserburgh in Scotland, and we’re glad we were guided by her advice.”
“Jo helped us with our 11-month-old German Shepherd Bella, who was wild when we first rescued her. We still have a way to go, but we have a more rounded dog thanks to Jo.”
Questions, answered
Does my dog need to train with Jo first?
Usually, yes — social walks are a follow-up to initial training, so you and your dog already know what to practise.
My dog is aggressive with other dogs. Can we still come?
Yes. Many of the dogs on Jo’s walks started out reactive or aggressive. Jo controls every introduction and works at your dog’s pace.
Where are the walks?
In the Leicestershire countryside near Cropston, Leicester. Jo confirms the details when you book.
You don’t have to keep living like this.
One call. No judgement. A clear, calm plan for you and your dog.
